Robert Johnston, leader of Cannon Design’s sports practice, has consulted for and guided all levels of government, international sport governing bodies, and cities bidding for and hosting multisport Games events, including the 2014 Olympic Winter Games Bid Committee for Pyeongchang, Korea. Throughout more than 25 years of planning and designing athletic venues ranging from Games facilities to private sports clubs, he has gained renown in the international sports marketplace and is an expert in sports surfacing design. He is Principal-in-Charge of the Richmond Olympic Oval. Mr. Johnston is a frequent guest speaker and has been honored with numerous design awards, including the coveted IOC/IAKS Award from the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities. |
