Gene Kinoshita is renowned throughout North America for his contributions to 20th-century architecture. Throughout a career spanning more than four decades, he has held roles as design principal and design advocate while leading his own firm, Moffat Kinoshita Architects, which merged with Cannon Design. His work has been honored with more than 55 international, national, and regional awards, for such clients as the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Windsor, McMaster University, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, and University of Guelph. He is a fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, past president of the Royal Academy of Arts and Greater Toronto Arts Foundation, and recipient of the da Vinci Medal for lifetime contribution and achievement in architecture. As Design Leader, Mr. Kinoshita contributed to the conceptualization and development of the Richmond Olympic Oval’s iconic image. |
