Description
Cannon Design, in association with Yost-Grube Hall, provided programming, planning, and sports architecture services for this award-winning complex that creates a major campus focal point and student gathering place for the University. Project components include a 17,000 sf fitness center, three-court and a four-court gymnasiums, elevated running track, racquetball/squash courts, multipurpose rooms, a wellness center, and an aquatic center with lap pool and leisure pool. Situated between two hills expressed as split levels within the building (elevated track and fitness room), the Center’s design reflects the strong agricultural program of the University, while interior components featuring high ceilings, a fireplace and beautiful natural woodwork reveal a distinctive Pacific Northwest flavor.
