Cannon Design has designed private, state-of-the-arts sports and fitness centers for Sports Club/LA in New York, California, Nevada, Washington DC, and Massachusetts. The most recent program for Sports Club/LA included renovations to the firm’s 90,000 sf club at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Occupying the second and third floors, the luxury sports and fitness facility offers over 40 different fitness options under one roof, including exercise rooms, aerobics, lap pool, basketball and squash courts, sauna, steam rooms, gym, kids club, and supporting facilities. The Sports Club distinguishes itself by providing a full scope of health and beauty services with a spa, salon, men’s and women’s lounge as well as television rooms, a restaurant, and concierge services.
