Township of Esquimalt

The Township of Esquimalt’s renovation and expansion program enables the community to embrace a revitalized recreation centre as the result of public process and input. Blending old and new with two additions – one a wellness/fitness centre and the other a lifestyle aquatics centre – on opposite sides of a wooden structure resembling a ship’s ribs, the Centre’s design is emblematic of Esquimalt’s roots as a maritime centre. The newly configured Centre also contains a multipurpose gymnasium, fitness centre, childcare and wellness centres, and conference and administrative space.
