A 4,000 sf suite, designed to double in size, provides hotelling accommodations for corporate executives at the headquarters of Corning Incorporated. The first phase provides offices for the CEO and executive staff, administrative support and conference areas. Careful planning and design ensures the suite can be easily expanded to accommodate additional offices, a boardroom, and support functions as adjacent space becomes available. Materials and finishes, a simple but elegant palette of natural cherry, Venetian plaster, silk wall covering and three types of glass, are applied in a series of planes that appear to be custom millwork but are in fact of standard manufacture. Furniture and furnishings of custom design include workstations equipped with raceways for easy access to voice, data and electrical connections.
