“A successful design for a healthcare facility strives to find a balance in all things great and small. It’s a patient-friendly ambulatory setting, great accessibility with superb functional relationships, and a logical, bold plan that fosters orientation both the patients and staff.”Modern Healthcare/AIA Academy of Architecture for Health - Honorable Mention
Description
Consolidating services for 17 multidisciplinary clinical centers, the 750,000 sf Center provides advanced technological support for two components—the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) and the Siteman Cancer Center, one of the most recently designated National Cancer Institute facilities. Both centers are “patient first” environments where patients can easily visit the physicians and access integrated diagnostic and testing services. Circulation pathways flow around an interior atrium, a major organizing element that allows patients to easily visualize their destination. Honored with four national awards for excellence, the CAM and Siteman Centers support the delivery of quality healthcare in a cost-effective environment without compromising patient convenience or comfort.

“The intent of the Center for Advanced Medicine is to consider the patient's needs first.
