Description

The 90,000 sf facility houses research, teaching and computation labs, core facilities, a vivarium, faculty offices and classrooms. Consolidating and expanding the University’s undergraduate biology and mathematic programs into one state-of-the-art facility, the building is comprised of two distinctive clusters that separate research from teaching facilities. Faculty offices link the two clusters creating communal and collaborative space. A four-story outdoor lobby and plaza as well as an outdoor public staircase facilitate circulation to teaching labs on the upper floors, orienting visitors and promoting social interaction.
