Description
North Bridge is a nine-block hotel, retail, and entertainment complex on one of Chicago’s premier boulevards, with a retail arcade connecting the city’s main shopping and entertainment districts. The Hotel and Shops at North Bridge, developed by the John Buck Company, proved to be a technically demanding project requiring the dismantlement and reconstruction of the landmark façade of the 1929 McGraw-Hill Building and the creation of a new 90-foot-high glass-enclosed atrium and four-story retail arcade. The facility features open, airy retail and restaurant space on four levels and a four-star hotel on the upper 14 floors.
