Description
Carmel High School’s prominent athletic complex includes a new field house and competition pool, built around an existing historic gym in need of repair. Because basketball season is so important to the community, Cannon Design devised a plan to replace deteriorating roof trusses while maintaining occupancy throughout construction. The new field house has four stations with a running track that overlaps the courts. The end court was finished with a higher quality athletic surface for use during freshman basketball events when the competition gym is also in use. The pool area has seating for 3,000 to accommodate state-wide competitions.
