Description
Congress Center, a new 16-story speculative office building in Chicago’s West Loop, provides a flexible and efficient work environment. A structural steel braced frame system enables 33,000 sf, column-free floorplates, increasing lease value and flexibility. To meet a limited budget and aggressive schedule, precast concrete was selected for the east and west facades and curtainwall for the more-public north and south facades, reducing construction time by allowing two facades to be built simultaneously.
