Description
Cannon Design was first retained by Janssen to develop a research facilities master plan that would enhance initiatives in forming multidisciplinary teams to pursue new drug compounds. However, in response to changes in organizational research priorities and strategies, Janssen commissioned the design of the 187,000 sf Dr. Paul Janssen Research Center—replacing several outdated facilities at its Beerse, Belgium headquarters. The revitalized complex supports chemistry, central nervous system, oncology and gastrointestinal inflammation studies with laboratory, animal and administrative space, as well as technology systems, in a functional, yet attractive, environment that promotes collaboration and maximizes operational efficiency.
