Description
This addition to Millipore’s research and manufacturing facility houses new process and applications laboratories, a training laboratory, a computer-training center, dining, open-plan office space for 90, as well as a loading and warehousing functions. Facility planning was driven by both the exterior site constraints and the need for interior flexibility. The building is configured to avoid wetland zones, yet maximize the footprint, while structural modules are sized to organize and reconfigure open-plan workstations, files, and office support functions with optimal efficiency. Large window areas and clerestories introduce abundant natural light into offices, laboratories and dining hall.
