Koc Model School

Cannon Design’s Mehrdad Yazdani and Trung Le presented at the Education and Architecture Conference in Istanbul sponsored by the Koc Foundation and organized by its General Manager Erdal Yildirim. With a focus on the future of education, Le began with an in-depth look at how children today learn best, describing the inclusive design process Cannon Design undertook while working with the Koc Foundation developing the concept for a new model school. Yazdani continued the dialogue with a deeper explanation of the architectural responses to the concepts, which is integral to setting new standards for pedagogy and teaching practices.
