City Lab (part of The Atlantic) recently sat down with the key stakeholders and designers of the St. Louis Public Library in an article titled, “The Simple Philosophy Behind St. Louis’s Spectacular Central Library Renovation.”

The article speaks to the challenges of transforming an iconic building rich in history and significance, while meeting the needs of 21st century users. Design Principal, George Nikolajevich, FAIA, explains one of the key solutions was to put the books in the spotlight.
