Eckerd College’s James Center for Molecular and Life Sciences will be featured on a Tradeline’s exclusive tour of research facilities on Saturday, May 9 in St. Petersburg, FL.

The recently certified LEED Platinum science facility is driving innovation in through sustainable design techniques and advancing an interdisciplinary science curriculum.

Adhering to its core values of ecological and environmental stewardship, the school worked closely with CannonDesign to employ sustainability measures wherever possible in the design of science center. One particularly innovative feature is a revolutionary air-conditioning system, which capitalizes upon a pipeline of reclaimed, nonpotable water from the nearby St. Petersburg wastewater treatment facility to cool the building.
