metrohealthcampusHealth Facilities Management (HFM) featured the MetroHealth Critical Care Pavilion in a recent story – Opening of expanded pavilion raises intensive care to new heights. Our health  team designed the interiors for the new health facility and anchored its work in evidence-based design strategies. Ultimately, MetroHealth’s 100,000 sf expansion includes two intensive care unit floors, a mechanical floor, a Level 1 trauma center, a surgical department and a federally funded Ebola treatment center.

MetroHealth made the decision to expand the critical care pavilion after a recent assessment of its entire infrastructure, which revealed the need for numerous significant upgrades. The needs for these assessments was accelerated following the Polar Vortex of 2014 that hit Cleveland. The Critical Care Pavilion is the first of several projects that will completely transform the MetroHealth campus.
