Thank you for visiting www.cannondesign.com.  This website is operated by or on behalf of CannonDesign and its affiliated entities (“CannonDesign”).  CannonDesign is committed to protecting your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information that are collected by CannonDesign on its web and social media sites (“Sites”), and how we use and protect it. This Privacy Policy applies only to CannonDesign Sites and it does not apply to any web sites owned by third parties, even if those websites can be accessed via links on the Sites.

By using our Sites, you signify that you agree with the terms of our current Privacy Policy as posted on the Sites, as well as the Terms of Use posted on the Sites. The information we collect.

When you visit cannondesign.com, we will not collect any Personal Information about you unless you provide it to us voluntarily.  “Personal Information,” as used in this Privacy Policy means any information that is linked to your identity such as your name, street address, telephone number, mobile number, place of employment, screen name, and/or email address. The Sites you entered may collect some or all of these types of Personal Information through a questionnaire or a registration/contact form. We do not collect financial or other sensitive data information about our users.

You may be able to post things to the Sites, such as reviews, stories, comments, etc.  In doing so, your name may be posted.  Please keep in mind that if you disclose personally identifiable information or other sensitive data through an online forum, such as a chat room, blog, or message board, this information may be collected and used by others.

How we use personal information.

When you supply Personal Information at a CannonDesign Site, we will consolidate such Personal Information and use it for the purpose for which it was collected (e.g., submission of a request or comment made via our “contact” page) in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We may also use it to respond to your comments or requests for information, generate Site analytics that improve our Site layout, content, features, etc., track user activity on the Sites and/or compile user data that is stored in our corporate database and may be used for marketing or other purposes.

Collection and use of other information and use of cookies.

All information on our Site is free to browse at your leisure without the need for you to provide us with any personally identifiable information. During a normal visit to our Sites, CannonDesign.com collects other, non-personally identifiable information from Site visitors.  These items are not tracked on an individual basis that identifies the Site visitor, but rather are gathered and collected on an aggregate (or anonymous) basis that includes all Site visitors.  Non-personal information may include information such as tracking the site pages that are visited, the amount of time spent on our Sites, clicks, page views, events, and zip code. Our primary goal in collecting aggregate information from you is to be able to perform site metrics that allow us to improve the functionality, design, etc. of the Sites.  Collecting aggregate information will allow us to track page visits and peak Site usage time, as well as identify popular features, pages, links, etc.

If you visited a related mobile site or are directed to this Site via a QR Code that you scanned, we may collect additional non-personal information which may include the type/model of the mobile device viewing the Site and the mobile device’s service provider.

As you may know “cookies” are data that is stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a site. How information is used/possible information sharing.

Non-personally identifiable information that is collected may be used to compile aggregate and statistical data and to measure Site activity to allow us to update our Site to better meet user expectations.

CannonDesign.com may utilize non-personal data on an aggregate level for the purpose of performing analytics on the users’ experience while visiting the Sites.  This analysis does not identify you or your information personally.  A third-party vendor acting on behalf of CannonDesign.com may be used in this analysis.  Any information that is provided to a third-party vendor is to be used only for the purpose of performing analytics and compiling reports of the data.  The third-party vendor is restricted from using this data in any other way other than to provide these services to CannonDesign and they may not share or resell this data. Personal Information that you provide to us in the course of submitting a request, comment, question, etc. (such as via our “contact” page) may be gathered and stored in one or more of our corporate databases and be used for purposes of contacting you for things like marketing programs or other communications from this website or other CannonDesign programs and services.

Important note regarding U.S. law.

All matters relating to this site are governed by the laws of the State of New York in the USA.  All lawsuits arising from or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be brought in the Federal or State courts located in Erie County, New York, and you hereby submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of such courts for such purpose.
