The annual Environment + Energy Leader 100 recognizes environment and energy “doers” who are trailblazers in creating new solutions, programs, platforms, best practices and products to help their companies – or other companies – achieve greater success in commercial and industrial environment and energy management.
Fascinatingly, Eric is the only representative from an architecture design firm named to the list. Other honorees include sustainability and climate leaders from all different companies including Mastercard, Samsung, Sephora, Duke Energy, Kohler, the LEGO Group and numerous others.
“This is a humbling honor for me and for our sustainability team at CannonDesign,” said Eric. “It recognizes the work we’re doing, but it also inspires us to reach higher. We have so much work to do to transform our society and curb the dangers of climate change for future generations, we wake up each day committed to designing a more sustainable and equitable world.”
In his role as Director of Sustainability, Eric partners with our design teams to help ensure our projects incorporate strong sustainability design measures. He’s ever-focused on helping clients find the best pathways to reduce emissions, slash operating costs and create healthier spaces where people thrive. He’s also globally recognized as a sustainability thought leader, regularly speaking at sustainability conferences and authoring articles and books.
Some of CannonDesign’s most pivotal sustainability projects at the moment include the California Institute of Technology Resnick Sustainability Resource Center, confidential healthcare projects focused on creating buildings completely free of cancer-causing materials, and Ohlone College Academic Core.
