Two CannonDesign Leaders Recognized as Women of Influence in Architecture & Design

The San Diego Business Journal recently released its 2022 Top 50 Women of Influence in Architecture and Design and we’re proud to share that CannonDesign’s Alicia Pandimos Maurer and Nivine Perez made this year’s list.

Each of these women were chosen for being trailblazers in architecture and design through their careers and accomplishments.

Alicia Pandimos Maurer is described as, “a passionate advocate for science and discovery – and for healthy, sustainable, optimized research environments that can catalyze breakthroughs that can better the lives of millions.” Alicia is highly knowledgeable about sustainable lab design and is a pivotal industry leader in our firm. She is a fierce supporter for women working in biotech and is a member of the ISPE San Diego Chapter of Women in Pharma and a founder of the Colorado chapter of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL).

Nivine Perez, who leads interior design for our Southern California offices, has also been recognized in the Top 50 list for her “incredibly creative, thoughtful, and passionate leadership.” She has worked on critical projects such as UC San Diego Internal Medicine and Center for Seniors, LAC+USC Restorative Care Village, LA County Martin Luther King Child & Well-Being Center and more. She finds her passion in mentoring others and currently serves on CannonDesign’s NEXT Council, an emerging leadership development program.
