The University at Buffalo (UB) recently announced enhancements to its decade-old climate action plan (CAP), with a renewed focus to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030. The “UB CAP” is a roadmap of innovative, engaging and digestible strategies the university is taking to increase climate action. We are thrilled to have played a part in creating this important plan.

A new website further outlines UB’s commitment and introduces the “10 in 10” steps it’s taking to address the greatest threat of our time.

CannonDesign was proud to be a key partner in this effort through the stakeholder engagement, energy data and visualization services we offer. We worked with UB’s leadership and larger campus community to build a more engaging, interactive and ultimately more empowering climate action plan by leveraging visualization of data, storytelling and simplification to garner better engagement from students, faculty, staff and the community.

We hope this launch of UB’s new CAP will spur other university campuses across the country to take a look at their own plans and be as proactive as they can when setting climate and sustainability goals.
