CannonDesign is set to play a central role in this year’s Spring BIMForum conference. Brian Skripac, the firm’s Director of Virtual Design and Construction, will help moderate the conference focused on the theme: BIM: What do Owners Want?
The conference theme recognizes that owners are becoming more focused and leveraging BIM to deliver their projects. Moving beyond the request to have the project be designed and constructed with BIM, owners are creating project specifications and turnover guidelines that are BIM-centric and outline innovative BIM-enabled processes to successfully deliver their work.
Additionally, Scott Laoboonmi will team with Michael Roush from UC San Diego’s Facilities Design & Construction team to present, “Leveraging the Power of BIM for the UCSD Jacobs Medical Center.” The presentation will cover how BIM played a key role in the successful delivery of UC San Diego’s largest capital project to date. CannonDesign will also be represented when Faye Bodyke and David Pifher share “Streamlining the Project Turnover Process with BIM Deliverables” which highlight some of our firm’s work with Ohio State University to help them leverage BIM for project quality, standards and success.
