Ken Crabiel will present “Design Excellence [and] Its Common Element” during a special lecture for the Miami University’s Department of Architecture + Interior Design Friday, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall. Ken, who received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Miami University, now leads CannonDesign’s Corporate/Commercial market in St. Louis and his presentation is part of the architecture school’s ongoing guest lecture series.
Through the lens of numerous projects and perspectives, Ken’s presentation will reveal how the “human element” of design remains invaluable amidst technology innovations, business volatility and evolving societal norms that all influence architecture. Specifically, Ken will share deep looks at award-winning projects including Missouri State University’s Bill R. Foster & Family Recreation Center, Lassonde Studios at the University of Utah, CJ Blossom Park and Roche Diagnostics new corporate campus. Each of these projects echoes Ken’s driving message that people are the key drivers behind design success.
Ken recently authored a post, “Dear Designers: Give People Something Great” in advance of the speaking opportunity.
