An exciting project designed by our NYC team, Northwell Health’s ASP is a future-focused project that will bring enhanced state-of-the-art clinical care and health facilities to its region.
The ASP will significantly enhance patient care, expand Northwell Health’s current facility at the site, create a more efficient connection with the existing hospital to foster optimal operational and clinical flows, and ensure future adaptability. The ASP is sited and designed to create a new image and sense of place for the health campus.
Northwell Health CEO and President Michael Dowling spoke during the ceremony, sharing, “This impressive facility is the realization of a lot of planning and work that goes back more than a decade. It will serve to magnify all of the great things happening at North Shore University Hospital.”
The ASP project spans seven floors and 270,000 square feet of new construction, including a new surgical suite expansion, new critical care beds, a cardiothoracic ICU and new parking deck. The surgical suite consists of 18 operating rooms (including 3 hybrid ORs) arranged around clean cores with additional support spaces around the perimeter.
On track for 2023 completion, the project is a remarkable team effort. Numerous local media covered the topping-out ceremony and several members of our NYC team were able to attend in person.
