The bold new home for the University of Maryland (UM) football, Jones-Hill House is an unrivaled hub for athletic training and human performance. The project converted the historic Cole Field House basketball arena in the heart of campus into an indoor football facility adjacent to the campus stadium in College Park, MD.
The facility is leading-edge for Division 1 and Big 10 Athletics and help UM continue to recruit and train premier athletes that enrich the school’s longstanding history of sports excellence.
In the SBJ article, Maryland Associate AD Jason Yellin says, “This is an unbelievable facility; first-rate in everything.”
Our Roland Lemke, Design Principal, is also quoted in the piece and talks about how the team creatively converted a basketball arena into a modern hub for football – digging holes without steel caving, lengthening the building and more.
