We’re happy to announce that Andrew Schilling has been promoted to the role of Chief Infrastructure Officer at CannonDesign — responsible for developing and maintaining a complete technology infrastructure that aligns with our firm’s broader goals to remain a leader in the industry. In this role, Andrew is working closely with our core leadership team and Chief Technology Officer to set the strategy for CannonDesign’s digital environment.
“Over the last few months, we’ve made significant enhancements to our firm’s approach to technology, and Andrew is key to that effort,” said Tom Bergmann, CannonDesign’s executive director of practice strategies. “While our new CTO is focused on the implementation of digital design tools and technologies, Andrew is focused on improving our IT systems and internal technologies, which is really the backbone to our business. To my knowledge, we’re one of very few design firms with both a CIO and CTO leading our implementation of technology.”
In addition to being responsible for our internal IT infrastructure, Andrew oversees our robust team of in-house IT personnel — always making sure our information systems and staff are supporting our firm’s operational needs and goals.
Prior to CannonDesign, Andrew provided IT leadership at a number of Chicago-based companies, including Teng and Associates . He has strong working relationships with Microsoft, HP, Cisco and NVidia, and recently presented at NVidia’s Graphics Virtualization conference. Andrew is currently working towards his Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification — which acknowledges IT leaders for their ability to both run modern data centers and understand cloud technologies.
