On a chilly day in January, several people from the Baltimore office plunged into the Chesapeake Bay for the 2019 MSP Polar Bear Plunge, which supports Special Olympics Maryland. While the temperature at Sandy Point State Park was 30 degrees, the sand on our bare feet felt 10 degrees colder at the very least! With the help of colleagues, family and friends, the Baltimore office was able to raise more than $1,100 to support Special Olympics Maryland through this event. While the plunge was held on a cold, wet day, filled with both excitement and fear, the countdown leading up to the plunge included a welcomed heated tent with live music, local vendors, and other corporate groups.

All in all, not only was it a great office turnout, as we had nearly a third of the office “take the plunge” for the first time, but even more monumental was the support from the rest of the office as they acted as cheerleaders and sponsors for those who did the plunge for a great cause. We are all looking forward to making this an annual event filled with group networking and team bonding outside of the office!
