Bob Ward, PE, LEED, and engineering leader of CannonDesign’s Pittsburgh office, was recently elected as the next president of the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP). He previously served as President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of ASHRAE.
The ESWP helps advance the professions of engineering, architecture and applied sciences through technical activities, public service participation and social organizations. The organization strives to seek and prepare the next generation of engineers, provide professional development and networking opportunities and support industries, communities and government in Western Pennsylvania.
Bob has worked in the health, education, civic and commercial markets for more than 30 years. He is dedicated to driving the integration of CannonDesign architecture and engineering projects, as well as elevating the visibility of the engineering team firm-wide. His current project work includes the University of Pittsburgh Medium Voltage Lab for micro grid research, Bucknell University’s new College of Management and Arts building, West Penn Hospital Mellon Pavilion renovations and a TSA Checkpoint expansion at the Pittsburgh International Airport. He recently wrote a piece in Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine offering insights on how engineers can make in impact at their firms through business development.
