Buffalo Business First has published a new article profiling CannonDesign’s extensive current work in Buffalo’s urban core. As the article states, “CannonDesign is making a statement about the strength and future of Buffalo.”
The full Business First article is available online. Below are excerpts about the three projects it focuses on.
- This August, our Buffalo team will move its office from Grand Island to 50 Fountain Plaza in downtown Buffalo. The move places our firm in the heart of Buffalo’s downtown corridor and amplifies our firm’s ability to positively contribute to the city’s resurgence and exciting future. “CannonDesign has always been deeply committed to helping Buffalo thrive and this move ensures we’ve been positioned to contribute to the city, and the greater region, moving forward,” explains Joe Cassata, Buffalo Office Practice Leader.
- We’re currently designing the 201 Ellicott project in downtown Buffalo as an affordable housing and fresh food market. The site will be one of the first “mobility hubs” for downtown Buffalo, providing residents and the community with a place of alternative transportation opportunities, supporting the idea of vibrant, livable and walkable communities.
- Our team is also working with D’Youville College to create their new Health Professions Hub, a project that will further empower the college to train the healthcare workforce of the future, uniting students from each of the healthcare professions on campus to learn as a team to improve patients outcomes. The Hub will serve as a community clinic to the underserved population of Buffalo’s West Side neighborhood.
