Charles Smith, AIA, LEED AP, will be co-presenting a discussion focused on the University of Washington’s Center for Advanced Materials and Clean Energy Technologies (UW CAMCET) for the I2SL Emerald City Chapter. He will be joined by Daniel Schwartz, Director of the Clean Energy Institute at UW – Seattle, and Michael McCormick, Associate Vice President of Capital Planning & Development at the University of Washington.

UW CAMCET fosters collaborative research that accelerates solutions for a healthy planet. Anchoring the west campus innovation district at UW, the facility is a model for future sustainable laboratory design, and will educate leaders in state-of-the-art classrooms and STEM project-based learning spaces. The International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) is devoted to the principles of sustainable laboratories and related high-technology facilities, from design to engineering to operation.
