Following its recent Architizer A+ Award, we are happy to announce the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) has just won an A’ Design Award for Architecture, Building and Structure Design. The A’ Design Award program is a prestigious international competition recognizing projects across a range of categories focused on innovation, technology, design and creativity.
Designed by CannonDesign + NEUF architect(e)s, the CHUM is the largest health infrastructure project underway in North America and arguably the only health project in the world of this scale being built on such a highly constrained urban site. The complex consolidates three aged hospitals into one community of right-sized buildings, and acts as the anchor of the Quartier de la Santé — Montreal’s new health district.
