Cole Field House, the dynamic new home for the University of Maryland’s (UM) football team, is profiled in two new media stories from PanStadia and Athletic Business. As PanStadia writes, “Cole Field House is set to be an unrivaled multidisciplinary hub for sport, health, science, wellness and entrepreneurial education. Designed by CannonDesign, the project coverts the historic Cole Field House basketball arena in the heart of campus into an indoor football facility adjacent to the campus stadium in College Park, MD.” The full story can be read online.
Noting the university’s recent field dedication ceremony, Athletic Business’ Facility Friday roundup also focuses on the project. It highlights Cole Field House will ultimately be equipped with a full-sized indoor football field, a strength, conditioning and hydrotherapy center, locker rooms, meeting spaces, coaches offices, a dining facility and two outdoor fields.
Curbed DC also recently featured it in an article that explored the brand new football practice facility and also gave a glimpse into future phases of the project. Read the full article here.
Cole Field House is now a leading-edge Division 1 and Big 10 Athletics football training facility and will help UM recruit and train premier athletes that enrich the school’s longstanding history of sports excellence.
