Diaa Elbashir Joins CannonDesign to Lead DC Commercial Practice

We are thrilled to share Diaa Elbashir has joined CannonDesign to lead our DC Commercial Practice. 

Diaa brings to CannonDesign a proven record of design excellence in DC’s commercial, retail and residential marketplace and an extensive, award-winning portfolio of interiors and architecture work including projects with Breitling, Federal Advisory Partners, Excel Group, Cura Strategies, United Steelworkers and more.

Previously, Diaa founded and led DC-based EMA architecture + interiors, a practice that thrived as it built longstanding, valuable client relationships through its commitment to collaboration, research and design excellence.

Diaa joins a Washington DC practice currently working with commercial real estate firms including JBGSmith, Lincoln Property Company and Cushman Wakefield and on signature area projects including University of Maryland’s Cole Field House, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and the Potomac School’s Center for Athletics and Community.
