We are thrilled to announce that UC San Diego Health’s Jacobs Medical Center has been named a finalist in the 45th annual International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Interior Design Competition. This annual competition honors outstanding, innovative, and original designs – of which only twelve finalists from across the world are selected.
“This annual competition has long attracted the best in international design, and the projects chosen represent the crucial role designers play in creating spaces that inspire and support the people who occupy these built environments,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst. “It will be difficult to choose among this innovative group of projects.”
The six competition winners will be announced on April 5th, and the Best of Competition winner will be revealed at the IIDA annual black-tie gala, COOL, on June 10, 2018.
This news builds on a significant amount of recognition Jacobs Medical Center has amassed in the last year, including winning a National Healthcare Design Award from the American Institute of Architects/Academy of Architecture for Health, an Award of Merit from Healthcare Design, and a Healthcare Interior Design Award from the IIDA, among others.
