Jenny Miller, AICP, EDFP, has joined CannonDesign as Business Development Leader of the Chicago office. In this role, she will work closely with leadership in the development and implementation of strategic plans, and to create a network of opportunities across all markets within the Chicagoland area.
Miller joins CannonDesign with more than 10 years’ experience in the healthcare sector. While at her last firm, her drive and sharp business acumen helped regional and national healthcare teams win projects totaling over $1.2 billion in construction value. Miller also brings extensive knowledge of urban development and planning courtesy of work with the City of Milwaukee and a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
“Jenny is a true self-starter. Her ability to quickly understand new markets and create strong relationships with clients and coworkers alike is a testament to her leadership,” said Tim Swanson, city planner and Chicago office practice leader for CannonDesign. “I look forward to working with Jenny to not only bring in key wins for the firm but in identifying projects that will have a positive impact on local and regional communities.”
In addition to her work in business development, Miller will assist with research, intelligence gathering and interview presentations to help win pursuits. She will also collaborate with members of the marketing team to craft thought leadership and promotional materials.
“I look forward to the new challenges this role presents, and to broadening my knowledge of the various markets CannonDesign works within,” said Miller. “CannonDesign is dedicated to solving clients’ and society’s greatest challenges, which is something I strongly identify with and hope to help the firm achieve. Incorporating thoughtful policies and meaningful spaces help enable all of us to thrive.”
Miller was recognized in 2014 by the Milwaukee Business Journal as a member of the “40 under 40” and in 2016 by the Wisconsin Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services as “Business Developer of the Year.”
