Margi Kaminski, ASID, has joined CannonDesign’s health practice as a Principal and Co-Director of the Health Interiors Practice. Based in Chicago, Margi will share oversight with Jocelyn Stroupe, and will be responsible for market initiatives while collaborating with healthcare clients to develop and help execute future thinking strategies and solutions.
“I am incredibly excited to have Margi as my partner to lead healthcare interiors,” said Jocelyn Stroupe, Director of CannonDesign’s Health Interiors Practice. “She is passionate about healthcare and its impact on those who visit, work or are cared for in the spaces we design. Margi’s deep experience and strong client relationship skills will enable our interiors practice to provide outstanding leadership. As our health practice continues to grow, we will be better positioned to support our clients, as well as advance our presence in the marketplace.”
Margi possesses more than 30 years of experience in practice, most recently as a Vice President at CallisonRTKL, where she lead Healthcare Interiors, and as an Interior Design Project Manager at Northwestern Medicine West Region. Prior to joining CannonDesign, she oversaw a wide range of notable projects for many of the healthcare industry’s leading systems. Margi’s experience working within a health system alongside practitioners has given her a unique, practical perspective from the provider side of healthcare.
“I joined CannonDesign because of people who inspired and challenged me to reimagine my career path. Each day, that decision is validated by new experiences, broader perspectives and stronger connections to peers who care deeply about the power of design,” said Margi. “As the new co-director of healthcare interiors, I join an industry luminary, Jocelyn Stroupe, in guiding our expanded practice as we navigate the changing landscape of healthcare. In my role, I look forward to bringing my passion for health and well-being in the built environment while focusing on business development and operations.”
Margi holds a degree in Interior Design from Harrington College in Chicago, is NCIDQ and Lean Green Belt certified. She is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences and has been the recipient of design awards from ASID and Contract Magazine.
