Marquette University is embarking on a yearlong comprehensive master plan to create a university roadmap for sustainable growth. CannonDesign’s integrated campus master plan will go beyond the traditional master planning that explores not only the physical assets, but also the academic integration and fiscal stewardship elements.

“This master plan is a very critical component for Marquette,” said Brad Lukanic, education executive director. “It creates both a framework and initiatives that Marquette will undertake for the next decade; creating changes to positively impact future generations.”

The campus launch—introduced by Marquette’s president, Michael R. Lovell, and associate vice president for finance and university architect, Lora Strigens—will guide campus development for the next 10 to 20 years. The entire scope of the master plan will consist of facility and space analysis, academic plan integration, student life, student housing, strategic plan integration, campus survey, utility infrastructure, technology infrastructure, transportation and parking.
