We are pleased to announce Rachel Lee, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has joined our San Francisco office to focus on growing our Science and Technology (S&T) practice. With 24 years’ experience, Rachel has worked with top-tier research institutions and private sector clients – applying collaborative leadership and strong managerial, lab planning and design skills.
“Rachel brings vast expertise, talent and energy to galvanize the growth of our presence on the west coast,” said Stephen Blair, director of CannonDesign’s S&T practice. “She has a unique understanding of the highly complex challenges our clients face and I am confident she will deliver innovative solutions to exceed their expectations.”
Her experience encompasses master planning, programming, laboratory planning, total building planning and design, and project management. Recent projects include Ford Research and Innovation Center, Bayer CropScience R+D Center, the University of North Carolina Marsico BioMedical Center, Stanford University Richard M Lucas Center Expansion and CREATE (Center for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise) Singapore, the latter of which won a Lab of the Year Award from R&D magazine in 2013.
She is a thought-leader and knowledge resource on laboratory design involving large, complex equipment.
Rachel is a member of the San Francisco chapter of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Northern California chapter.
