Construction has begun at Chicago Jewish Day School (CJDS), a multi-denominational school located in the city’s Irving Park neighborhood. The 2.6-acre campus will support an enrollment of more than 300 students from junior kindergarten through eighth grade.

Campus renovations and additions to three buildings are guided by design drivers including: promoting diversity, supporting student independence, cultivating community, encouraging collaboration and fostering a sense of belonging. Project highlights include the design of flexible learning spaces, science and art laboratories, an on-site gymnasium, media center and a dedicated Beit Midrash, or “House of Learning.” There will also be a new exterior pick up/drop off drive, community café and outdoor play spaces.
