St. John Vianney Manor retirement home in Pittsburgh – a building constructed by SJVM and managed by Cannon Construction Services – recently opened to strong reviews. The project added four residential suites, a new wing including a dining room, kitchen, two lounges, an exercise facility and nurse’s office to a building originally constructed in 1961. The priest suites in the building are refurbished with walk-in showers, new windows, flooring and paint and technology that allows users to customize room temperature.
In a story about the building’s opening published in Pittsburgh Catholic, Father John Petrarulo praised the building, “I’m impressed. The whole complex astonished me. Everything is fresh, brightened up. It’s very inspiring.” Monsignor Bill Ogrodowski added, “The building now faces the campus. We’re, in a sense, more fully integrated.”
