Paul joins as a Construction Administrator while Linda will serve as a Project Manager. Their hires are part of our Toronto office’s ongoing growth efforts in the region.
“This is an exciting moment for our Toronto office. Not only are we expanding our team with incredibly talented individuals like Paul and Linda, but we’ve also bolstered services and capabilities to help institutions in Toronto and across Canada,” said Christine Chadwick, our Canada Practice Leader.
“Beyond our work as one of the most innovative architecture, engineering and design firms in the world, we offer consulting, transition planning, equipment planning, facility optimization and more. There’s no other firm in Canada equipped to help clients with this continuum of service and Paul and Linda are ready to leverage the spectrum to empower our clients.”
Paul brings more than 40 years of experience to our firm spanning construction, healthcare and P3 projects. Linda joins with 15 years experience designing and managing healthcare projects of all scale and type. Paul and Linda previously worked for Stantec and HDR, respectively.
The duo joins at a pivotal time as the Toronto team is currently designing the dynamic West Park Healthcare Centre, a 27-acre development located in a park-like corner of Toronto designed to respond to growing demand for complex continuing care and breakthroughs in rehabilitation therapy. The focal point of the West Park development is a 730,000 sf replacement hospital housing 314 beds, as well as expanded outpatient services, community living and outreach programs.
Our Toronto office also continues to highlight our Blue Cottage of CannonDesign consulting and planning arm as a major growth opportunity and differentiator for health organizations.
“We have built an incredible design legacy in Canada and West Park builds on that significantly,” explains Christine. “CannonDesign takes pride in delivering meaningful, beautiful, Living-Centered projects that positively impact people and communities for generations. That mission spoke to both Paul and Linda as they chose to join our team.”
Beyond the West Park project, our Toronto team led planning, design and compliance for a significant redevelopment and expansion project with Joseph Brant Hospital, and a redevelopment project with Michael Garron Hospital. We continue to work with other Toronto-area healthcare clients including Brant Community Healthcare System and Waypoint Centre for Mental Healthcare. This work is in addition to awarding winning projects including the York University Student Centre, and Laurier Brantford YMCA,
