Interior Design Leader Aimee Platt Relocates to Dallas

Interior design leader Aimee Platt has relocated to CannonDesign’s Dallas office from our Chicago office.

A key designer within our national healthcare interiors practice, Aimee’s experience will bolster an already robust interiors team across our two Texas offices.

Aimee has collaborated with designers across the firm as well as various hospital leadership and staff to create thoughtful and empathetic interior experiences. From outpatient specialty clinics to new community hospitals, Aimee has designed remarkable healthcare journeys that improve quality of life for patients, staff and visitors alike.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with clients and members of the firm from all across the country, and am excited to focus particularly on the Texas healthcare market, which is growing at an exponential rate,” said Aimee. “My colleagues in the Dallas and Houston offices have tremendous relationships, and my goal is to help create care environments that allow for healthier lives for every organization in and outside of Texas.”

Aimee is an Associate Vice President and has more than 25 years of experience in interior design and healthcare planning. Past projects she’s worked on include Penn State Hampden Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center/Midwest Orthopedics Outpatient Center and Mount Sinai Holy Cross Hospital Inpatient Behavioral Health/Crisis Stabilization Unit. She has also worked with Advocate Aurora, Ascension Health, Lurie Children’s Hospital and more.

Last year, Aimee was named to the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID).  AAHID administers the (CHID) Certified Healthcare Interior Designers® examination which distinguishes commitment and knowledge within acute, ambulatory and residential care facility design. Serving on the volunteer Board of Directors is a unique opportunity to advance the practice of healthcare design and create the best environments for healthcare delivery and healing.

Over the past few years, we’ve delivered breakthrough projects across Texas, working with organizations such as Texas Children’s Hospital, University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas Christian University and more. With Dallas becoming a national hub for top healthcare, science, technology and education institutions, we are committed to partnering with clients and local organizations to push this growth even further.

“Interior design has incredible power, and can create lasting memories and experiences,” said Aimee. “I’m proud to be part of that process and bring it to Texas and beyond.”
