We are thrilled to welcome Stacey Root as the Health Practice Leader in our Denver office. Stacey will lead practice and growth initiatives that realize CannonDesign’s Living-Centered Design strategic vision and expand our healthcare footprint in the region. She also aims to position CannonDesign as the go-to resource and leading innovator for Mental and Behavioral Health design across the region.
“I aim to improve our relationships with existing clients and grow our practice here in Denver to bring our amazing wealth of firmwide expertise to bear in my community,” said Stacey. “That’s why I love CannonDesign’s Living-Centered Design approach. Anything that creates an environment supporting ease, peace, healing, and connection falls under the umbrella of what we do as healthcare architects. Sometimes that’s a building; sometimes that’s a system organization or a better process.”
Stacey’s design expertise is mental and behavioral health, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as Federally Qualified Health Centers and university teaching clinics. She often works directly with end-users, and has facilitated dozens of upfront process improvement workshops which have led to better project outcomes.
“Both our health practice and the Denver office are excited for not only Stacey’s expertise and breadth of experience, but for her boundless enthusiasm and creativity when it comes to tailored and thoughtful solutions for clients of all kinds and challenges of all scales,” said Abbie Clary, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, co-director of CannonDesign’s health practice.
Stacey comes to CannonDesign from Boulder Associates Architects, where she most recently split her time working on projects, process improvement consulting, and business development work for the Dallas office. She was a founding core group member of the Colorado LCI Community of Practice and is active in the LCI National group, having presented on Lean topics nationwide. Capitalizing on each person’s strengths, valuing each person’s input, putting the success of a project above all else and working in true collaboration—these ideas are central to the way she orchestrates a variety of solutions for our clients.
