We’re thrilled to welcome Sumegha Shah, AIA | LEED AP BD+C, to the education practice as a senior vice president and subject matter expert in health sciences and medical education. Based in our Washington, D.C. office and residing in Atlanta, GA, Sumegha will partner with education practice leaders to outline strategies and actionable items that advance subject expertise, client engagement and market differentiation.

Sumegha brings over 15 years of knowledge as a planner and designer of educational facilities with proven success in translating project vision into design solutions. In her most recent role at Perkins & Will, Sumegha partnered with worldwide leadership to drive the business strategy and growth of the HigherEd practice while working with leading institutions around the globe. As the newest leader in CannonDesign’s education practice, her role involves guiding the development of learning environments for future healthcare providers, balancing industry shifts with benchmarks and seeking innovative partnerships towards the next generation of academic environments.
