Tim joins CannonDesign with 23 years’ experience leading business development for design and construction firms. A Colorado native, he plans to harness our firm’s deep expertise and innovative design process — which Fast Company recognized in 2019 when it named the firm one of the world’s most innovative companies — to help local organizations imagine and execute bold new futures.
“What really caught my attention about CannonDesign is the firm’s ability to not only talk about innovation, but to make it very real,” said Tim. “Innovation is a prime focus in Colorado, and amazing things can happen when the right talent, ideas and organizations come together. I’m excited about making those connections and helping organizations harness design to push our city and state forward.”
Tim’s leadership will build off our 30-year history working with organizations throughout Colorado. Recent projects include Colorado State University’s Behavioral Sciences Building, Colorado Mesa University’s Engineering Building, Children’s Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs, the Jacquard Hotel and numerous projects with Kaiser Permanente. In early 2020, we will solidify our commitment to Denver’s development by moving into a new space in the River North Art District (RiNo).
Tim is a board member of Ripple Intent, a symposium series focused on the behaviors that improve capital projects, and is a past board member of the Urban Land Institute where he also held the role of president of its Young Leaders Group. He has held numerous leadership roles in the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), and in 2016 was named the Business Developer of the Year by the Colorado chapter, recognizing his achievements in building client relationships and driving topline growth. While living in San Diego, he was recognized as a “40 Under 40” winner by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine.
