We’re thrilled to share that Carrie Parker, AIA, LEED AP has been named AIA Virginia’s new Young Architect Representative (YAR) for 2022-2023.

Carrie is a talented academic planner, project manager and designer. At CannonDesign, she has developed close working relationships with client institutions on a variety of student life projects across the country, from Florida to Texas and beyond.

She has been involved with several national and state AIA activities and committees, the Washington Board of Trade’s Connected DMV, and was a winner of AIA Virginia’s 2020 Emerging Professional Award. She also enjoys leading many of her office’s pro-bono design efforts, traveling and designing with her architect husband.

In Carrie’s new role as YAR, she acts as the front-line connection between local and state AIA components and the national YAF Advisory Committee. The AIA YAF is the voice of recently licensed architects and a catalyst for progress within the profession.

We are proud to have Carrie as a representative for our D.C. office and a voice for young, recently licensed architects in Virginia and beyond.
