USA Today named the ballpark one of the country’s 10 best baseball stadiums
As architect-of-record for PNC Park, CannonDesign – along with designer Populous and design-build entity Dick/Barton Mallow – has received countless commendations and awards for what has been called one of the most intimate venues in all of Major League Baseball.
Located on Pittsburgh’s North Side, the 38,000-seat stadium offers spectators unparalleled views of the Pittsburgh skyline and the Allegheny River. The park’s highest seat is just 88’ from the field, and pedestrians walking across the Roberto Clemente Bridge can see inside the park at eye level, making them feel part of the park even from across the river. The park’s main concourse at level two is open and offers views of the field along its entire perimeter. Upper levels of the stadium accommodate luxury boxes, club seats, press boxes while restaurants and party decks, with views of the field, are located throughout the park.
USA Today named the 38,000-seat ballpark one of the country’s 10 best baseball stadiums and SportsBusiness Journal placed it in the top five best new facilities in the last five years.
