A new project grows in Brooklyn
Emerson Place, Pratt Institute’s newest residential hall, is embedded within the Clinton Hill neighborhood. Students interact, socialize and study in central spaces, as well as within adjacent maker spaces featuring studio resources.
The tower’s upper floors are comprised of 14 rooms for two students each, with shared bathrooms distributed throughout. Central lounges on each floor have work counters and furniture for community use. The exterior features primarily brick with curved stainless steel panels – intended to actively engage the historic brick campus and neighborhood, while setting apart the distinctive forms of the courtyard and lounge spaces.
