Carrie Parker, AIA, LEED AP
To be a leader, one must enable the success of others. In the collaborative environment of architecture, a team must support each other and their leader must enable, support, and encourage them to succeed. Through service, we replace ego with humility, hubris with collective pride and the efforts of one with the accomplishments of many.
Since graduating at the top of her class from Oklahoma State University in 2012, Carrie has risen in the ranks of CannonDesign. Carrie became licensed 4.5 years ahead of the national average, and holds firm to the importance of licensure — now serving as the DC office’s pre-licensing coordinator and an NCARB licensing advisor, and having a true desire to mentor her peers and emerging professionals. Through her involvement with the local AIA and community projects, her drive is contagious and pushes everyone to do more. It is her drive and collaborative nature that is propelling her into leadership positions on projects, and now through CannonDesign’s NEXT Council where she partners with firm leadership to evolve our practice.
