Eric Lindstrom, PE, LEED AP

Eric Lindstrom leads the sustainability and energy practices in the Buffalo office. A mechanical engineer by trade, his career has been focused on integrated design, where he has helped bridge the gap between signature design and high-performance building systems. Recognized though several ASHRAE award-wins, Eric has helped clients save millions of dollars in energy costs and reduce their associated carbon footprint through innovative solutions. Demonstrating his dedication to sustainable design, he was the first LEED Accredited Professional in Western New York—receiving accreditation in 2001. Eric was instrumental in the formation of the Western New York Sustainable Business Roundtable, an organization focused on sustainable planning for Western New York-based for-profit businesses and currently serves on their Board of Directors.

Integration is the key to providing the best value and solutions to our clients and society. A definition of ‘integration’ that I like is the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. That’s what integrated design is all about: passive design strategies working in unison with required active building systems to create a comfortable environment while minimizing energy use.
